The Roof Rack In a Sack™ roof top carriers are designed to fit all cars (with or without existing roof rack bars).  It provides a quick solution for transporting lightweight roof top cargo that does not easily fit inside the automobile.   Our Low-Profile Strap Design secures the bottoms of the foam pads (for an extremely quiet ride) and passes through the passenger cabin of an automobile.  Straps are adjusted and secured using a Load Lock FASTener®. Stitched into each strap are two Stainless Steel D-Rings (one on each side) to be used as holding locations for quickly securing small rooftop cargo.  Two additional 10' nylon straps and two 12' nylon strap are also included for handling most objects.  Straps are color coded for quick identification of length. The roof rack includes a patented dual Load Lock FASTener® arrangement (see below) for better positioning inside the car AND two 30" x 4" x 5" foam blocks for maximum roof and cargo protection, which are secured by foam belly band straps to ensure that foams will not be lost (with or without rooftop cargo on top).  The Roof Rack In a Sack™ is designed to provide rust-free and scratch-free operation for non-permanent installations and  comes furnished in its own nylon mesh bag for convenient storage when not in use. It is not intended for heavy-duty transport or long distance transport.  US & Foreign Patents issued and pending.
