Load Lock FASTener® Warnings and Limitations

Below is important information that should be read and observed prior to using Load Lock FASTeners®.

WARNING: Failure to read and observe important information below may result in serious injury and/or damage to the product and other property.

IMPORTANT: As with any fastening device, before and during each use and at frequent intervals, check strap, sewn areas, and Load Lock® for excessive wear, damage, bending, or load shift. Load Locks are designed to fasten light to medium loads and have no rated capacity.  Load Locks® are not designed to be used as the primary fasteners for large objects, particularly those with significant wind exposure. Fast air flow or load shifts can act to significantly increase the effective weight of an object, particularly those with poor aerodynamic properties. As with any fastening device, multiple Load Locks® should be used and closely spaced around the object to be secured. Certain Load Locks® are specifically designed to handle larger tasks.  Please click here to learn about typical breaking strengths that can be expected from our products.

*** IMPORTANT: Breaking strengths should never be used as the safe working load limits, which will vary be application and are typically 20% to 50% of breaking strength.***

Load Locks® are intended for light to medium-duty applications
Do not use Load Locks® for objects that are subject to load shift or high relative wind exposure
Do not use Load Locks® for climbing, towing, or overhead lifting
Load Locks® should not be modified in any way
