Load Lock FASTener®
Color Availability & Breaking Strengths
The Load Lock® is a very strong plastic fastener that is offered in a wide range of color combinations depending upon the product. Due to frequent enhancements in our high strength design and the use of different plastic resins best suited for specific applications, certain models have higher breaking strengths than others. Unless otherwise noted, Load Locks® do not have a rated capacity but have a typical breaking strength of 230-250 pounds, which will decrease after long term use and exposure to UV light. Load Locks® are constructed of acetal, nylon, or polypropylene, which varies by intended application. Please call if you have any questions about our product lines.
Important: Please note that breaking strengths should never be used as the safe working load limits, which will vary be application and are typically 20% to 50% of breaking strength.
It is the end user's responsibility to determine whether or not The Load Lock® is safe for a given task. Although the Load Lock® is a high strength plastic fastener, it should not be used in applications where where heavy duty strength is required, such as climbing, towing, or overhead lifting applications. Please call if you would like to discuss the suitability of a Load Lock® for a given task or if you have any other questions about it's safe use.
