As a small manufacturer we have been able to respond quickly to feedback from our customers in our effort to produce the best products in their class. In response to customer feedback we have made major enhancements to our hoist and cradle designs and after a year of redesign we recently began shipping a new and improved version. Provides simple and secure kayak and canoe storage from any ceiling.  the Handy-Hooker Canoe and Kayak Storage Hoist fits all kayaks and canoes and is the only kayak and canoe storage device that provides simple, vertical stacking of multiple canoes and kayaks (the purchase if additional hoist/cradles is required for the storage of multiple canoes/kayaks).

Patented moving release mechanism is positioned next to the canoe or kayak which provides controlled lifting, lowering, and stacking of canoes and kayaks for safe and easy single person operation. US Patent Number 7,367,547.

Simple installation requires two drilled holes...

To install, simply install the aluminum pulley blocks using the two included lag eye screws into any suitable joist, stud, rafter, or dock post. Then connect the other end to the lanyards or rings on a kayak or canoe or to our Canoe & Kayak Hull Cradle (sold separately) and raise or lower the kayak or canoe using the mechanical advantage of the hoist strap assemblies.  This integrated leverage system acts like a block and tackle lifting device making it simple for anyone to lift even the heaviest kayaks and canoes. 

NOTE: To ensure best performance and longest strap life, the straps should be operated in line with the canoe or kayak as is the case with any rope hoist or chain hoist.

The simple, safe, and secure storage of kayaks and canoes has been a difficult task... until now.  Our Canoe and Kayak Hanger Kit includes everything required to store one kayak or canoe in the basement, garage, shed, or boathouse.  The separate purchase of our Hull Cradle system is recommended for use with our Canoe & Kayak Hoist for the storage of most kayaks and some canoes that may be prone to warpage if hung from their ends without additional support. Additional kits can be purchased to provide stacking storage of multiple kayaks and canoes to save valuable floor space.

Unlike rope, cable, and cleat products, our canoe and kayak hoist cannot be accidentally released and the straps do not easily tangle, wear, or break like competing canoe or kayak rope lift products.  The release button and release cord move with the canoe or kayak, staying out of the reach of children while providing controllable height adjustment for adults.   This also provides the ability to guide kayaks or canoes down to the ground slowly and easily, while providing single person operation from each end of the canoe or kayak. 

Our canoe and kayak hoist and storage system installs directly into rafters or joists of almost any size and does not require the additional installation of  2" x 4"  lumber for mounting (though some may prefer to install it this way).  Simply predrill two holes and mount the pulley blocks. No separate cleat or complicated pulley tracking installation is required, making it the easiest lifting system for kayaks and canoes available... In fact, we guarantee it to be easier to install and more secure than all other kayak and canoe lifts on the market!  The Handy-Hooker™ Canoe and Kayak Hoist & Storage Kit features our standard limited lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects discovered during normal use.  Please contact us for full warranty details.

NOTE ABOUT EXTENDED LENGTH VERSIONS:
Our standard hoist length is optimized for ceilings up to 10 feet tall. When ordering custom lengths for tall ceilings, please note that the connection point on the canoe or kayak is typically around 1' above ground. If using this product with our Hull Cradle System, the cradle straps add several more inches of stretch to the system during normal use. Therefore, there is no advantage to ordering more length than needed.
