Drop-proof strap lasso attachment to bikes quickly secures bicycles of all sizes from ceilings up to up to 12 feet. Competing products use open hook design that are not secure and may scratch or cause damage to bicycles.

No wall cleats or pulley mounts necessary! Our simple design uses a release cord with Velcro loops for the securing of hoist straps during storage. Safety cam release design makes accidental lowering or dropping almost impossible!

Simple installation...
Before installation, determine the optimal spacing (and install location) for the pulley blocks. This is typically the distance between the center of the handle bars and the seat post. If spacing of the ceiling joists does not provide this distance, the spacing should be slightly larger than the attachment points to the bicycle (as permitted by the next closest ceiling joist).
1.) At the desired location, mark and predrill a hole into the ceiling with a 3/16” bit (drill bit not included) in the dead center of a suitable joist, stud, or rafter. Stud detectors or small nail holes may be used to determine the centers of a joist. Repeat this process for the second hole, keeping them straight in line with each other.
2.) Using a 1/2” thin-walled socket, mount the pulley blocks to the ceiling ensuring that they are in line with each other and that the handle end (and release button) of the hoist strap is positioned outward from the bicycle. Make sure that the pulley strap is not twisted and remains parallel to itself from end to end (note: the pulley blocks can also be installed into a previously mounted 2x4).
3.) To ensure proper operation of release cord from any angle, pass the release cord down and through the adjacent snap hook as shown in the photo on the front of this packaging. Release cord can be shortened and reknotted if desired.
4.) Bring both hooks down from the ceiling (engaging the release button if necessary). Please note that the hoist strap requires the weight of a bicycle to work properly so it can not be tested without being under load.
5.) Secure the bicycle at the seat and handle bars (or frame) using the included Handy-Hooker™ Lasso Straps. Do not wrap around brake or gear shift cables. IMPORTANT: If attaching to the seat post make sure that the seat is securely mounted into the bicycle frame.
6.) Connect the D-Rings on the Handy-Hooker™ Lasso Straps to the hoist strap hooks making sure that the hook is fully closed with the teeth engaged, and also make sure that the lasso straps and hoist straps are not twisted while remaining in plane with each other.
7.) Raise the bicycle using the mechanical advantage of the hoist strap assembly. Depending upon weight loading, the bike may not be level while being lifted but should level out during storage. When elevated, the excess hoist strap can be coiled and stored by the Velcro Loop on the end of the release cord. To lower, apply slight pressure to the release cord with one hand and guide the hoist strap with the other hand as the bike descends.

This integrated leverage system acts like a block and tackle lifting device making it simple for anyone to lift even the heaviest bicycle.  Additional Handy-Hooker straps can be purchased separately for the storage of an additional bike from a single bike hoist!

Unlike rope, cable, and cleat products, our bike hoist cannot be accidentally released and the nylon straps last longer than competing rope lift products.  The release button and release cord move with the bicycle being stored staying out of the reach of children while providing controllable height adjustment for adults.
